> ornament to last

La Rose is an ornament project to last, to cope with formal obsolescence. It’s a simple way through a digital interface to learn embroidery bases.  A manual explains how to easily and successfully realize included models or how to create new ones. Another manual contains a large part of embroidery’s used points and explains how to use them.
The A√Įda canvas is restyled by new orthonormal canvas, allowing canvas personalization by an adjustment of holes cutting laser (round, square, stars‚Ķ). Like this, embroidery becomes an accessible expression mode for everyone to create an unique and ornamental result. On a pre-existing canvas the user can compose his own drawing choosing cutting holes, or chooses an model. Once the file is finalized, the user can choose different materials for his creation (wood, plexiglass, cardboard‚Ķ) and after cutting stage, the embroiderer is free to use different materials and colors on. This project allows different applications as pillow or separating wall, it is meant to be adaptable, fixable and customizable.
